About ROAMCORD

ROAMCORD is a place to plan, share, and preserve real human travel logs. A log can begin as a rough plan before a trip, change as the trip unfolds, and become a record of what actually happened — all in the same place.

As much detail as you want

A travel log can be simple: a few places you are considering, or the places you went and whatever you still remember.

Or it can include timing, notes, photos, where you stayed, why you chose a stop, what was worth it, what changed, and what you skipped.

More context can make a log more useful. It does not make the log more legitimate. You do not need to reconstruct every detail to preserve a trip.

ROAMCORD requires truth, not completeness.

Plans and actual trips

A Plan records what someone intends to do, is considering, or would recommend before the trip has happened.

An Actual Trip records travel the creator genuinely took or directly participated in.

Plans can change. Actual Trips can be imperfectly remembered. ROAMCORD keeps the distinction clear so a Plan is never presented as firsthand experience.

A Plan can become an Actual Trip after travel without becoming a different log. The same travel log can evolve as the trip does.

What makes a log useful

A map can show where places are. A travel log can show how those places fit together.

When you have it, context can explain why you chose a place, what was convenient from where you stayed, what took longer than expected, what changed, what you skipped, or what you would do differently.

None of that is required for a log to be real. It is the context that can make a real log more useful to the next person.

Different perspectives are useful

Useful travel knowledge does not depend on where someone lives.

A resident may know details built up over years. A first-time visitor may have researched carefully and notice practical questions a resident rarely has to think about.

ROAMCORD treats that background as context, not as a ranking of whose experience matters more.

Trips do not have to fit one boundary

A trip can be centered on one destination and still include day trips, nearby towns, or a route that crosses regions.

ROAMCORD is designed around the trip people mean, rather than requiring every stop to fall inside one administrative boundary.

What ROAMCORD is for

The internet already has plenty of generic lists of places someone could go.

ROAMCORD is for real human travel logs: what someone genuinely planned, and what someone actually did.

It is not a booking marketplace, and search ranking is not for sale. ROAMCORD does not currently sell paid placement in search results.

Travel changes

Plans change. Places close. Prices, routes, and opening hours change. A short wait in one season may be much longer in another.

A travel log reflects what someone knew, intended, or experienced when they made it. Use it as a real person’s reference point, not a guarantee, and verify anything important before relying on it for your own trip.
