Terms
ROAMCORD is a place to create, share, and read real human travel logs. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Your account
You need access to the email address you use to sign up. Confirming that address allows you to create and publish travel logs and gives you a way to reset your password if you need to.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. If you think somebody else has accessed your account, contact us.
You may use ROAMCORD only if you are legally able to agree to these Terms where you live.
Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of the words, photos, and other content you add to ROAMCORD.
You give ROAMCORD only the limited permission needed to operate the service according to your settings and these Terms.
That includes hosting, storing, processing, formatting, and displaying your content; creating the technical copies and previews needed to serve it; processing uploaded photos; including eligible public content in ROAMCORD search and discovery; using service providers to operate the service; reviewing content when necessary for moderation; and operating features such as Use This Trip.
ROAMCORD does not sell your content or give other people or companies a general license to reuse it outside the features of the service.
ROAMCORD does not use your content to train AI models, and we do not provide it to others for that purpose.
You may post only content you have the right to use: your own words and photos, or material you have permission to publish.
Be truthful about what happened
An Actual Trip must represent travel you genuinely took or directly participated in.
You do not need perfect memory, and exact dates are not required. If you provide dates or other details, they should reflect what you know to the best of your ability.
Do not invent firsthand experience, present an untested Plan as something that happened, or publish somebody else’s trip as your own.
A Plan describes travel that has not happened yet, or an itinerary someone is considering or recommending. Plans and Actual Trips are kept distinct so one is not presented as the other.
Use This Trip
Use This Trip creates a new, independent draft Plan from reusable structure in an eligible public travel log.
It does not give you ownership of the original creator’s travel log.
The new Plan can carry useful planning structure such as the destination, number and order of days, eligible public places, planned times, and transportation information.
It does not copy the original title, travel dates, photos, notes, tips, private places, events, free-text labels, travel group, or trip-specific skipped and changed outcomes.
The new Plan belongs to you and can be edited independently. Later changes to the original do not rewrite your Plan.
While the source log remains public, ROAMCORD may show that your Plan was based on it. If the source later becomes private, unavailable, moderated, or deleted, your independent Plan can remain while that attribution disappears.
What you may not post or do
Do not post another person’s private information without permission, including home addresses, phone numbers, or other information that exposes them.
Do not post content you do not have the right to use.
Do not impersonate another person, fabricate firsthand travel, commit fraud or scams, threaten or harass people, or use ROAMCORD for illegal activity.
Do not upload malicious material, interfere with the security or operation of the service, abuse automated systems, manipulate reporting, or send spam.
Organic references to businesses you genuinely visited or are genuinely considering are normal travel content.
ROAMCORD does not currently provide a paid-placement or affiliate-publishing program. Do not use travel logs as advertising, affiliate marketing, or deceptive promotional content.
ROAMCORD does not sell search ranking or paid placement.
See the Guidelines for the practical version of these rules.
What ROAMCORD may do
ROAMCORD may review reports and content for compliance with these Terms and the Guidelines.
A log reported for exposing private information is taken out of public view while it is reviewed. Other reports may remain public while they wait for review.
ROAMCORD may hide or remove content, restrict access to features, or suspend or close accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or the service, respond to abuse, or address serious or repeated violations.
ROAMCORD may remove or restrict content, but it does not rewrite the substance of your travel log on your behalf.
What ROAMCORD does not promise
Plans describe what somebody intends or recommends. Actual Trips describe firsthand travel.
Either can be incomplete, mistaken, or become outdated.
Places close, prices and schedules change, and what worked for one person may not work for another. ROAMCORD does not independently verify every statement a creator makes and should not be treated as professional travel advice.
The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the service will always be free of errors.
Closing your account
You can delete your account from your profile at any time.
See Privacy for what is removed and what limited information may remain because another person’s independent content or a moderation record depends on it.
ROAMCORD may also close an account when these Terms are seriously or repeatedly violated.
Changes and contact
If these Terms change, this page and the date above it will be updated.
